TOKENISED IP OFFERINGS

Sometimes an innovation is so new that there are no words yet to describe it. What do you do then? Create new wording.

At STR8FIRE we are proud that our launchpad will see the world’s first Tokenised IP Offering (TIPO).

Pre-Participation: The Whitelist Period

Before jumping into a TIPO, there is a Whitelist Period, where for a period (usually 5-7 Days), interested investors can reserve a spot in the upcoming Guaranteed Allocation (GA) phase by expressing interest in the selected TIPO.

Getting whitelisted on STR8FIRE is straightforward and crucial for ensuring you receive an allocation based on your tier level:

  • Check the TIPO that you are interested in and check if it is open for whitelisting.

  • Secure Your Spot: Simply follow the instructions to sign a transaction with your Web3 wallet during the Whitelist Period to confirm your participation in the TIPO;

  • Allocation Based on Tier: Your allocation amount is predetermined by your current Tier Level at the time of whitelisting. This detemines the number of tokens you are eligible to purchase.

  • Opportunity to Increase Allocation: If your tier level increases during the Whitelist Period, your allocation for the TIPO can also increase accordingly. This provides a dynamic way to enhance your investment potential before the crowdfunding event.

Guardanteed Allocation (GA): The TIPO Period

This is the moment! As an eligible participant from the whitelist period, you are now positioned to invest in the Guaranteed Allocation (GA) round. Here is how to make your investment count in only 2 steps. This round usually last for 1 day before the FCFS Phase.

Step 1: Check your allocation: Upon entering the TIPO event page, you will find your guaranteed allocation amount, which is determined by your tier level. This reflects the maximum you are eligible to invest in the project.

Step 2: Input your investment:

  • Choose your amount: Decide how much you want to invest within the bounds of your allocated amount.

  • Enable the transaction: Before funding, you must enable the transaction. This is a security measure to ensure your wallet can interact with the TIPO contract.

  • Fund your investment: After enabling, input the amount and confirm by funding the investment. This action finalises your participation in the GA round.

The FCFS Phases

Following the Guaranteed Allocation (GA) round, the TIPO process enters the First Come, First Served (FCFS) stage, designed to distribute any remaining allocations of the project. Given the fast pace of the first FCFS round, it is essential to be prepared and act quickly to secure your investment. Users who missed the Whitelist or GA rounds have a new window of opportunity to invest. This phase is available to everyone, including those who did not participate in the Whitelist period. The amount you can invest will be the same from the GA round.

Post-TIPO: Claim Investment

After conclusion of the FCFS phase, the TIPO is concluded, and participants can see the outcome of their investments in their Portfolio page, where you can keep track of the projects you have backed and the tokens you are set to receive.

Claiming Your Tokens:

After successful completion of the TIPO, the IP owner will be notified of the successful raise and the process of Tokenising of the IP will start. This process can take up to a few weeks. Often, not all tokens are released immediately, and each TIPO will specify the initial release and vesting schedule, the gradual release of your investment over time. Vesting serves two key purposes: it incentivises investors to support the IP long-term success, and it helps avoid mass token sales.
